Noteworthy Paper & Press, a retail stationery store, letterpress studio and wholesale stationery and gift manufacturer, located in Missoula, Montana, is seeking an energetic, detail oriented, motivated individual to fill the role of Letterpress Printer. The perfect candidate will have a background in letterpress printing, be interested in joining a small team and working for a rapidly growing Missoula, MT-based business.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Operating and maintaining letterpress & foil presses including C&Ps, Windmills, a Kluge and a Vandercook Proof Press.
• Operating and maintaining automatic cutting machine
• Custom ink mixing: demonstrated ability to mix colors to match Pantone colors
• Assisting with production/fulfillment of all custom and wholesale orders
• Coordinating daily letterpress logistics
• Timely and professional inter-office communication
• Conducting a weekly letterpress supply inventory and ordering as needed
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in printmaking or equivalent experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong ability to multi-task
• Team player, yet demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Problem solving skills to reflect level of responsibilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with letterpress, foil stamping and die-cutting
• Experience in MS Excel and Mac OSX.
