Wash Out Brush Care

I recently ordered the boxcar washout brush and since it wasn’t cheap I really want this thing to last. How should I clean it after washing a plate? Warm water? Soap? I wasn’t sure if using soap would effect my next wash on my plate.

Warm water. Store bristles up in a drawer away from dust, but not small enough that it will keep it wet/encourage mold.

The bristles will get harder with age, eventually it will have to be replaced but I’ve had brushes for years and years before this was needed.

(In the case you forget to clean it at some point - I’m told if you end up with your brush needing to be reconstituted, ***as a last resort,*** one of the best things is warm water dishwashing detergent.)
