Golding Jobber #7 Handfed Press

The Golding & Company was an American manufacturer of platen printing presses and printers’ tools established in 1869 by William Hughson Golding (1845–1916) in the Boston region of Massachusetts. While there is no definitive proof of the date of manufacture this press was most likely built prior to 1917, according to a well known press historian. The chase size is 12x15 and the press comes with two of them. It has an inking unit at the top, a safety bar and the original electrical motor (550V/3Phase).

While the press has not been used for many years the mechanics appear to be in good working order. The rollers would need to be recovered if you wanted to use it to print and it would need a thorough cleaning and lubricating.

There is one cast part that has broken. We have the part but it may not be complete. There are some extra parts included as well as two boxes of gauge pins. There is also some bonus furniture available at the moment that would also be included.

It is an “easy out” on a skid for quick pickup from a location with a loading dock.

Asking $800.00 cash. If you have questions, please feel free to call George at 905-624-8906.
