Outsourcing Cutting?

I have a one-person design and letterpress studio in Portland, Oregon. I usually cut my work down to size with my Dahle or rotary, but I’m wondering if anyone has any advice on outsourcing cutting, especially for something really tiny {2.5” x.75”}. Any recommendations for a place in Portland? Or where to start looking? I’m new to outsourcing this part of a job so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am also a one person team and found that my rotary was not always doing the best job, so I contacted a local printer that I know who has a cutter and he does it for me. Also check around I found out one of my friends has one at her job and we go up there on saturdays and she will cut my paper down for me.. I think kinkos has one two, but they charge 2.00 a cut here

Updated. Hi!
I know of a challenge cutter. I Think it is kind of small, like 18” width for sale. I think it is really inexpensive. If you’d like, I can give you contact info. for the seller. I use a challenge cutter…slightly bigger at Olivine and have really good results. It is a standing model. Black. Super cute.

hi! Where is the Challenge cutter? Please email me at [email protected] with more info. I might be interested. Would it be able to cut down a card as small as 2.5” x.75”? I have a Dahle guillotine that is really nice, but I can’t measure that tiny .75” cut. Thanks!

I’m in Pennsylvania, but I have a local offset shop do my trimming, and they don’t mind at all since they do all manner of finishing work anyway. They’ve set up an account for me so that I can pay for all my cuts at the end of the month, and since it takes them very little time to cut a whole stack of paper, it’s really inexpensive. The only downside is hauling all the paper over to them.

Depending on the location and whether or not satsumalynn wants it or not. I’d like to find out more about the cutter you know of holland. thanks.

Hi. I’d also like to know where the Challenge cutter is. Could you e-mail me at [email protected]? I’m looking for something that will cut easier than my Dahle tabletop.
Thank you!

Hi there,

I did follow up on that Challenge cutter, but it had already been sold. Too bad for all of us…
