Museum of East Anglian Life

The Museum of East Anglian Life boasts 15 historic rural buildings, over 40,000 museum objects, and 70 acres of farmland. Museum volunteers bring to life the rural, industrial, natural and social heritage of East Anglia.

The print shop is situated in the Boby building. We use an 1876 Columbian Eagle to print the Museum’s publicity posters; a Wade Arab platen press to print smaller items like Christmas cards; and, on special event days, a rare, 160-year-old Legget’s Queen press made by the local firm of Ransomes in Ipswich. Visitors are invited to print their own posters on the Queen press.

The shop is run by volunteers Chris and Gill Pink.
