Me too. Does anyone know where to get letterpress classes in San Diego or weekend classes in LA?
Thank you.

In Los Angeles, I would recommend Armory Center for the Arts in Pasadena. Sign ups for the fall session started yesterday 8/13 so hurry! It’s a 10 week session for under $300 I believe.
You will learn how to hand set type, work on a Vandercook and C&P and most importantly safety.
There was actually a couple from San Diego taking the session I just took.
Also note the school is right in front of a Metro Station if that is helpful to you at all.
Goodluck!

I own and operate a letterpress shop in San Diego and I’m willing to do classes for a limited number of people at a time. I do printing, foil stamping, embossing and diecutting… strictly a letterpress shop. Over 20 years of letterpress printing experience. Email me at [email protected]

I try and keep up with listings of letterpress classes in Orange County/LA. There are plenty of private studio teaching opportunities as well not listed here.
