Briar Press has received a photo of a Kelsey press that has been added to the Museum of Printing Presses. It is a lever press with a weight of 700 lbs! We are interested in knowing if anyone has any information on this press or any catalogs that advertise this press before 1921 or after 1927.
I found this press in what I believe to be the 1925 Kelsey catalog (because it advertises a calander for 1926). In all my Kelsey catalogs this is the only one that shows a seperate base. The press weighs 550 pounds without the base and 700 pounds with it. All eariler catalogs show a similar press that is all one piece.
