Vandercook Universal 1 press

Hello everyone. It’s with a saddened heart that I have to sell my Vandercook Universal 1 press. Serial # 14559. The press is a wonderful book press where many poetry books have been printed. The press is in exceptional condition. The bed is true to the form rollers so you get that remarkable precise balanced impression. The rollers are in excellent condition. There is also another set of rollers, don’t know as to their condition.

The press is located on the fifth floor of West Chester University’s library building. Buyer will need to find resources to remove the press from the building. I can help assist in contacting the library’s staff to create clearance for the move.

I’m asking $15,000 but would be open to offers. I will be in West Chester to help coordinate the move. This is difficult decision for me, however I am hoping the press will go to a new home.
