Chandler & Price 12” x 18” Platen Letterpress – Motorized, Solid Restoration Candidate
Description:
This Chandler & Price (C&P) 12” x 18” platen printing press. This floor-standing, heavy-duty workhorse is the perfect addition for a print shop or printmaker looking to produce large-format letterpress prints, multi-up forms, full bleeds, scoring, or die-cutting.
The press features the classic large cast-iron frame, heavy flywheel, and an ink disc setup. It has been converted/equipped with a motor drive (includes the integrated belt-guard/housing, which is highly recommended for running a press of this scale. The motor has not been tested.

Condition:
The press is structurally intact with no visible cracks in the main cast-iron frame or flywheel. It shows typical vintage patina, dust, and minor surface grime from storage, making it an excellent restoration project. It is being sold as-is, where-is. Buyers should assume it will need a thorough cleaning, oiling, and a new set of inking rollers/trucks before production.

Removal: You are responsible for all breakdown, rigging, moving, and transportation. The press is on a pallet for easy removal.
