If anyone is looking to dispose of some type, in particular woodletter and would like to to go where it will be used for it’s intended purpose for many years to come (i.e. not ‘re-cycled’ into ornaments, or re-sold singly on eBay at a premium price), I’m expanding the collection we have for student use in my college, which has long been world renowned as a centre of typographical excellence.
There's something of a letterpress renaissance going on (not that it ever died out here !) I've managed to salvage what little wood we have left, which is mainly Gill and Caslon, but I'd like to expand on this, so any font or single letters in any condition are welcome. I'm also on the lookout for hand presses as well. We will, of course pay for any equipment, plus carriage, but donations are also very welcome! Cheers, Helen I.
