Founded by proprietor Gerald Lange in 1975, The Bieler Press is a small printing and publishing firm that specializes in studio letterpress, typographic design, and the publication of finely-printed limited edition books and related matter. Founder of web forum PPLetterpress in 2001, Lange has also provided photopolymer plate making to the contemporary studio letterpress community since 1995 and is the author of the chapbook Printing digital type on the hand-operated flatbed cylinder press.
