Minnesota Newspaper Museum

Volunteers print and distribute a four page special edition of The Maynard News, bookmarks, postcards, and notepads, discuss newspapers and printing, and teach visitors to fold pressmen’s hats. Equipment includes a Model 31 Linotype and Model W Intertype, a 1924 Miehle cylinder press, a Mentges folder, a 10 by 15 Kluge automatic, a 10 by 15 C & P (New Style), a remelt pot, and the editor’s office. Open to visitors for twelve days during the State Fair from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. There is also a volunteer training day in July.
