Wear on a C & P 8 x 12…
If you grab the platen on an 8 x 12 and try to rotate it a bit and it moves…
What exactly does that show?
and
How much could it be able to rotate before you would consider the press not worth using?
Thanks.

Maybe 1/16” or 1/8” you could get away with after that your impression could become blurred. Dick G.
The platen will rock a bit when open—it should be stiff at the closed position.
