What is the prettiest letterpress typeface of all time?

That is impossible to answer because you don’t say what you mean by “prettiest.” However, if pressed, my answer would be Union Pearl, the first decorative face, which was cut around 1690. Stephenson Blake is said to have acquired it in 1905. I believe the last time S.B. cast it was a special casting in about the 1970s or 1980s. I bought two fonts at that time, but don’t have it any more. So that I don’t violate anyone’s copyright, you can put “Union Pearl Typeface” into Google’s or Flickr’s search engine to see some
