Metal Registration Pins and Punches

Hello All…. for the first time in decades, I find myself in need of some old-school metal registration pins, and a punch. What I need are the ones used to hold negatives in register whilst burning plates for multi color work, back in the day. I COULD use a makeshift registration scheme, but I’ve got to make a very tight register set of plates and would like to use the right tool for this job.

My old vendors have long since quit selling them. I CAN find plastic ones…. and they would do in a pinch, but I’m hoping one of my old friends might know of a supplier of metal ones

Boggs has a couple of punches that might work.

Only other option is these plastic tabs. Not. as good as a punch but I know I’ve used them before for offsest with good success.

Lammy, thanks! those GWJ litho pins are perfect for what I need. They are the same ones we used waaaaayyy back in the day. (I think I’ll have to give up on Duck Duck Go searches. the good stuff never shows up there. )

I’m not sure if the brandford auction punches are within my budget….. but they do look like they’d work for me.

Hi Winking Cat Press, I have a Stoesser Register Punch that I no longer need. It will punch a 36 inch sheet and also has a tail punch. It is in great condition and is in a storage unit that I must clean out. That being said, its cheap. any offer accepted. Its located in Enfield, CT. If interested please contact me. LetterpressArts

Peter, I’m in Bristol, we should visit sometime.

What else you got in that storage unit ;-)
