When the rollers are moved down the bed on my Vandercook SP-15, the gear that’s on the end of the back roller on the side opposite the operator is too high to engage with the similarly geared track that is beneath it. However, if the gear and roller assembly is lowered, the roller is then too low to print type high. The press seems to print well without this gear engaging with the track, however it’s clear from the design that it is intended to. Has a previous owner installed a gear that is too small or a roller that is too large? Any insight appreciated. Thank you!
