Platen press operation - Chicago
Does anybody in Chicago have a open studio with platen press?
I recently bought a C&P Pilot but I’ve never used platen press before, and I’m wondering I can take a peek at making prints with platen press.

You should try to get up to Zion, IL on Saturday, April 5.
Look at the events listings on this site. There are literally dozens of platen presses there and I am sure that someone can go over the basic operation with you. You may also find that there are things for sale that day that you may require to operate your press (supplies, books and manuals, etc.)
Zion is along Lake Michigan, just south of the Wisconsin border.
