chase bottom and upper clamps

My Peerless (8” x 12”) is missing the left side bottom clamp (+ its screw) that holds the chase in place (see photo I attached). Any suggestions on how I should solve this?

Also, the upper clamp is missing its coil that makes it hold the chase in place tightly; should I just go to a hardware store and get whatever coil I think it might work?

If you are not handy with metal, you might try a local blacksmith who may be able to fabricate a mild steel fitting to match the one you have.

You could obtain some bar stock and make one yourself if you have a good vise and grinder.
