diecut config

I am planning to die cut on my C&P 10x15 tomorrow night. I have the steel plate backing and my die. It is a round corner business card die (one-up) and the paper is 220# Crane Lettra.

Is anything else needed in front of or behind the steel plate?

I’m looking for any additional info for setting this up that I’ll need and will continue to look through the archives.

Thanks.

Joshua

Josh,
Hi, I would start with little or no packing under the platen plate. Turn the press by hand for the first impression. Add packing as necessary to make a clean cut.
Locate your guage pins away from any rubber on the die.
Good luck.
Jim

Thanks for the pointers, Jim.
