Hot plate removal from press
I am wondering if anyone has an easy way to lift the HEAVY 12x18 full chase hot plate. Are there any “handles” available to thread into the holes to help out, or some other way to have more to hold on to.

unplug it from the top. be sure to do the thermocouples on the bottom… get some gloves and LIFT… watch your back, but it is possible to do… if it has not been out in awhile it possibly could be stuck.in this case move it “in and out” at the top before lifting… it might be easier to brace your elbows on the press, and lift with your arms rather than your back. not an easy task till you get used to the procedure… if you happen to slight of weight or vertically challenged, not easy at first. good luck hope this helps.
