Help with identifying guides! - Heidelberg Windmill 10x15

Hello! Just hoping I can get some help with identifying the parts for my Heidelberg Windmill 10x15 below. Thanks to some previous discussions + reading the material I have on my press (have only recently purchased this machine and still learning the ropes), have managed to work out that I have one pair of right (head) and left (tail) bottom guides as well as an auxiliary pin guide in both brass and nickel. I’m having some trouble though figuring out what the items below are for although I’m assuming that they are bottom guides of some kind?

There are three altogether and I have taken three shots of each from front, back and top to help ID them. The first is brass and appears to be some kind of small paper/card guide? The second is nickel and appears to be a little damaged although it still works - it has a moving flat section that toggles up and down when the small lever is pushed. The third guide is almost exactly the same but the lever is missing - I’m not sure if this is how it is meant to be or if it has been damaged (please excuse the ultra close-ups of my hand!)?

Any help with these is greatly appreciated!

It looks like side guides. I found this website:
http://www.printersparts-nc.com/
see if these people can give you more information.

The first few pictures are nickle gauges, the last 6 i don’t believe go to a windmill. Dick G.

Thanks Aaron and Dick! Much appreciated re the link Aaron, I’ll check it out properly this evening and will post back here about how I go with it. Dick, thanks for the correction on the nickle/brass - I was a bit tired when I sent this message out! Will follow up your lead too on the nickle gauges.

Actually the last three pictures of guides, I have 4 of these that was with my Heidelberg Windmill. Although mine have a little handle on them. My windmill doesn’t print ink but just foils. I too don’t know what they do. I will try and post a photo of mine.

Hi Pritee Penee - I’m glad I’m not the only one with these then! I think that last one originally had a handle on it too but that it was broken off at some stage (before I got it). I tried out that link you advised too Aaron, but no luck there - am currently checking it out with another supplier so hopefully will have more news on this soon!

I’ve never seen them on a windmill but it looks like they are adjustable lay pins. Rather than having to insert pins in the holes on the regular guides it appears the little levers can adjust the flat pins up and down depending on he job. That’s just my guess. Will they snap onto the bar that holds the guides? That website shows lay pins in assorted sizes. But I found that using paper clips is much cheaper. Ron

Hi RREEBB, I think your right. They do clip on to the bar that holds the guides. I think that I will give it a go with printing and see what happens. I will keep you updated. Thanks for that!
