I’m looking to add a small tabletop proof press to my collection and was offered a little press that calls itself an “American Printing Equipment Proof Press.” I’ve been unable to find anything by that name, though I did run across a model called a Sirio that looks exactly like it. Unfortunately, I can’t find much about either press in the Briar Press archives and was wondering if this picture looked familiar to anyone.
I’d appreciate any info you could offer me here. Opinions of the machine in comparison to other tabletop proof/sign/poster presses (Showcards, LinoScribes, Nolans, etc.) would be especially appreciated.
