New Here…Hello to all..

Hello to all-
I registerd for this forum quite a while ago, but things got busy and I didn’t have much time to participate…It looks like I will now have some time to take part..

I ran offset presses about 20 years ago….AM 1250, AM 1275 Tandem and a Itek 2 color. I left printing after 5 years to work at other unrelated jobs. I have always maintained a interest in printing and have a real desire to learn Letterpress as a hobby. I obtained a small Kelsey 5x8 several months ago as well as a nice floormodel or standing letterpress that looks like a Damon Peets. I hope to post pics later and have a great time on this forum learning from all of you and having a great time interacting.

I am located in Southeastern Michigan.
Thanks,
Mike

Good to have you here, Mike. I wish you were down the block from me and still running those Multiliths!

Daniel-
I really enjoyed running the old Multi’s. It was the best job I ever had.

Ah Southeastern Michigan.
There are a few of us hard core hobbyists here.
We have a couple of local clubs you may be interested in.

Welcome, and stick around!
We’ll treat ye so many different kinds of ways, you bound to like some of ‘em!

Yup. The Michigan Letterpress Guild is one of those groups and all we need is a name, address, phone and email info. (send that off line) No dues or organizational structure, just a bunch of printers who get together and talk in one shop or another more or less quarterly.

The other is the Monks and Friars Chappell. They restrict their membership to the Detroit area and won’t let in us outliers in Lansing.
