SP-15 Cylinder issue

Greetings! This is my first time posting on here. I have small issue with my SP-15, on the return it’s printing on the cylinder on the side that is closest to me (I guess that would be the left side of the cylinder). I know it has something to do with the return because this doesn’t happen when going back and forth on trip. Anyone have any ideas on how to correct this little issue?

Thanks!

You might want to post this over at Vanderblog. There is a host of Vandercook folks there who may be able to help you.

This could be as simple as a press packing problem or as complex as the need for cylinder bearing adjustments.

Great! Thanks for the suggestion!

Do you have all the small white nylon wheels? Two are at the end of the bed, two near the fed table.

Ah… and the winning answer… One is missing. Thanks! We’ll get that fixed SOON!

That can cause the carriage to get stuck.

Never really had any problems with the carriage getting stuck, but it definitely was causing one side to not disengage properly. Borrowed a wheel off of one of our other presses and now it seems to be printin’ like a champ… here’s to noticing the little things… thanks everyone for helping me figure this out!
