Hey guys,
I went to go oil up my press and when filling up the central tank i starting pulling the lever but the pressure never increased. What could be the cause of this ?
Thanks,

Well documented on Google etc, but having spent some time repairing H/Berg platens. (not operating, my toy was/is Thompson British auto platen) but it was so, that if the oil ran too low in the reservoir, it took a lot of pumping, probably more than 40+ shots/pumps to recirculate through all the pipes, but with the M/c, Ticking over, otherwise the air in the pipes compresses and pushes the oil back, occasionally we would crack/undo, one easy to reach, small bore pipe, at its delivered end, to help release the air, (much like releasing the air bubbles, when *Bleeding * an Auto/Car brake system,)
By implication and with SAFETY >PARAMOUNT< involves a second pair of hands, No forme up, No rollers and just Ticking over, if you blow a few air bubbles and a little oil to waste, No Problem,!!!
N.B. NOT facts just gleaned from the 10 x 15 and assuming the 13 x 18 is similar.. On the 10 x 15 there is a Thimble style fine gauze filter, In Line, maybe on the 13 x 18 also.? Blocked, Shot to Bits, Missing, perhaps.!!
Apologies if this be misleading and rubbish. Good Luck.
