No lines on this, 12 pt “m”. Any ideas what type design? Stellar? And, why no lines? Thanks.

is that a Ludlow mat, if it is is it made of aluminum or brass, also you need to show the bottom of the mat to determine the face. I haven’t seen many mats that don’t have lines to determine point size and the face.

There were a number of companies who made Ludlow mats, with their own designs, show the bottom and the side please.

There are no marks, letters or numbers on the bottom or any sides. However, and I was remiss about this… On the surface shown in the photo, along the left side are written the following set of numbers and characters…

so, I guess there is a book with codes correpsonding to size, etc.
