advice for buying hot foil stamping machine
Hi,
I’m pretty new foil stamping and have been using a kwikprint machine at a shared studio. Because we have a lot of testing we’re trying to do, studio rental time is quickly adding up so we’ve been looking into purchasing a machine mainly for testing foil/paper combos and very small production runs. We’re driving several hours tomorrow to look at a Weber Hot Stamping machine (pictured below). The only thing I can’t figure out (and the person selling didn’t use the machine) is whether or not custom dies will fit in this properly. I currently use owosso magnesium, type high dies (all dies I currently have are about 2x3in). Any other advice or things to note/look for when we go see it in person would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for any help someone can provide.

I have one just like that one. Will hold 2.25”x5.75” die with no problem. How much are you paying for the one you are going to look at and what state are you in. I seen one a little bigger than that one for $50 in Kansas City mo

Wow, I wish we could find something for $50! We’re paying $200. It’s in PA but were in Brooklyn. Have had a difficult time finding something for less than a couple hundred. Thanks for the info on dimensions, very helpful! That size range suits our needs perfectly!
