Press sale

Hi All,

I’ve operated Vote for Letterpress for the past 6 years. Unfortunately, I’m ill and can no longer run the business. I’ve posted my Windmill for sale and I have other stuff as well – lots of metal type, a manual cutter, SP-20 and tons of wood type. The sooner I sell, the better so I can stop paying rent. I don’t want to have to scrap stuff. So, if you know anyone, or can spread the word, I’d greatly appreciate it. I’m located in northern New Jersey (USA).

I’m very sorry to learn that you are too ill to keep printing, and that you are forced to sell your shop — wish I could help! You have been a great contributor to BP, and I wish you well, and cured too!

Hello-

I haven’t posted in a while as I haven’t been printing much lately, and I’m not sure if it’s my place to say, but I found out Jon from Vote for Letterpress passed away yesterday morning. I’d emailed with him a few times through Briar Press so I only knew him online, but we have a friend in common on Facebook who posted about this.

Thought people in this community might want an update.

Thanks for letting us know even though I wish it wasn’t so. I salute Jon for all the wisdom he passed through this forum for all the years I have been learning here. Jon, thank you so much, may you rest in peace in the big printshop in the sky.
