Moving A Hammond Glider

I’m going to be moving a bench top Hammond Trim-o-Saw soon. It’s my assumption that it’d be a good idea to remove one or other of the stops and pull the gliding part of the table off to transport it. Is that a correct surmise or would I be as well off (other than the weight) to just strap the table in place?

In my next life, my hobby is going to be something very lightweight, like origami.

When I moved mine, I just strapped the table in place. it added weight, but saved on having to realign everything…the hardest part was making sure the movers didn’t lift on it.

I have a floor model. I locked the sliding part so it couldn’t move. I used an appliance mover.

I have a floor model saw. The moving parts were strapped in place and I got others to lift and move for me.
