Vandercook 317 Mystery Part… what is it?
I have this spare part on my 317 that I can’t figure out what it is for or where it goes. Anybody know?

I have a 317 as well, and this is a mystery to me too. Maybe Paul Moxon knows…
I’ve only seen three of the ten 317 listed in the census. And don’t recall this part. It’s not shown in the drawings I have (courtesy of Bill Whitley). My best guess is that is part of the ink fountain that has since been removed.
