Unknown 24pt Latin

Hi all, this 24 point has a circular pin mark with 24 inside. I measured the point size and it conforms to the current system.

Kind of looks like turn of the century Latin faces with tiny sharp serifs all over the place. And a little like Condensed Corbitt cast by ATF. Diphthongs galore and a very classy cap Q!

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

It’s pretty hard to see any details in these photos. A good proof of the alphabet would make it easier to see and maybe someone can ID it. Or clearer, closer photos.-Bob

Thanks Bob, I will do that.

Mike

Here is a proof of this unknown Roman.

Thanks in advance!

Mike,
Your type is fairly obscure, but I found it in the 1898 ATF specimen book page 338. It’s called Lippencott. It seems to have been offered for only a few years both sides of 1900. It’s not mentioned in McGrew.

Awesome! Thanks Bob. I had a feeling it was pre-1900s
