Sounds from motor (Heidelberg windmill)
My Heidelberg is making a scraping sound when I turn it on. It just occurred to me that it makes the sound before I engage the clutch, so that means it has to be the motor, right?. I also noticed the motor is hopping up and down a little while it is running. So, maybe something is out of balance?
I can still operate the machine. In fact, sometimes the sound goes away and all is well for a while.
Is it possible that there is an easy fix, or do I just need a new motor?
Figured it out! The little allen bolt that screws into the shaft from the motor had gotten out of the groove.
