Worldwide Hand Press Database
For those BP participants interested in old printing technology, I am pleased to report that the Worldwide Hand Press Database on line now has at least some data accessible for study about 2495 hand presses, almost all made of iron, held by 1617 individual and corporate owners including museums, scattered around the world in large and small countries. With that information it is possible for folks interested in different aspects of historic printing technology to research the variety, evolution, manufacture, and spread around the Earth of a group of printing presses that were the mainstay of printing in every country for much of the 19th century.

Sorry, that should have occurred to me! It’s
