Recently I was contact by the owner of a Washington hand press that lacked a toggle mechanism, asking what could be done. I have made sketches of several Washington hand press parts and sent him my toggle sketches. He has the skills and equipment to make a toggle but lacked knowledge of what it should look like and how it works. With the sketch and some guidance he proceded to weld up a serviceable toggle from some scrap steel and now he can print with that press. I know there are others out there with derelict Washingtons that lack toggles or other important pieces. He has offered to help someone else in need of a toggle or simpler parts. Contact me through BP if you are looking for such help.
