Questions re:19” Multigraphic Hydraulic Paper Cutter w manual clamp + dig ro

Good Morning,

I recently purchased a 19” Multigraphic Hydraulic Paper Cutter with manual clamp and digital read out. I’m having a few issues and wondered if anyone could give me some assistance.

First - I need to change the blade and don’t have a manual. Does anyone have a manual? More importantly, does anyone have a video of how to change the blade?

Second - I need to change the cut sit. Similarly, hoping for manual and video/guidance.

Lastly - The other day I was running the cutter and I would push both green buttons at the same time to perform a cut but the machine wouldn’t fire. I unplugged it and reset everyone. I also took out the spark plug and re-inserted it… not sure if I was supposed to do that. Then tried a few more times and it started working again… thankfully. Can anyone diagnose this issue?

I live in Middle Tennessee.

Thanks!

The usual method of changing the blade, I believe, is to lower the blade to touching the cutting stick, then turn off the cutter so it doesn’t move, undo the bolts holding it, and tilt it toward you and lift it gripping the bolt holes, and being very careful not to touch the cutting edge, lay the blade flat on an empty board for transport, then un-bolt the new blade and carefully stand it in the groove of the cutting stick, raise it to contact with the machine, and install the bolts, tightening them securely. Then transfer the old blade to the transport board of the new blade and fasten it in place, being sure to position it so the cutting edge is well inside the edge of the board.

Replacing the cutting stick may not be necessary - they are made square in cross-section, and the cut is closer to one edge, so prying the stick up at one end, you can choose an unused side, or reverse the stick with the other edge of the same side positioned where the blade contacts it. You have 8 possible positions for the cutting stick before you need a new one.
