Museum press pics

I enjoyed looking at all of the pics of the different presses in the museum section. Does anyone know which of these presses would have been used at the H.C.Hansen Type Foundry in Boston from 1870’s - 1922 ? I have to give a short presentation on this foundry soon and could use any information you might know. I’d really appriciate any help you can offer. Thanks, jon

I assume you mean for proofing their type. My guess is probably either a cylinder proof press like a Potter or a hand press like the Tufts, which was made in the Boston area. For production (labels etc) they would most likely have used a Golding Art Jobber, and possibly also for their advertising materials.

Thanks for the information. I will look for pictures of these.
