I need help

I recently inherited and old style chandler & pricer letter press and I have absolutely no idea what I need to do to get it off the ground and running. Everything runs well but I don’t know what I need to do to print things. Can anyone help me.

Ty:

Your best recourse is to contact someone in your area to come over and set up a job and run it on your press. This will help to give you a visual experience of adjustment and everything required to set up and run the press.

If you are in the “boonies” like me, get a good bok on press set up and pore over it. Check past discussions on this site for recommended books.

Where are you located? Someone might be able to help you out if they are reasonably nearby.

I am located in Clinton, TN, it’s right outside of knoxville.

I have a friend near there who knows his way around a C&P pretty well. I’ll get you his contact info off-line.

I am looking to replace the rollers I have on my chandler and price letterpress, but I don’t know what to get or where to get them, of if I even need new ones.
