Im new and in need of some major direction!

Hi everyone,

I’m new to letterpress and printing however have recently fallin in love with everything about it! Are there any classes or workshops which I can take to learn the basics in letterpress printing? I live in Toronto, Ontario so anywhere in this area would help!

Also.. if I wanted to purchase a letterpress that I can start with, what would you recommend, how much would it approx. cost and where do they sell letterpresses? What are the different types of basic letterpresses? I’ve heard of a table top letter press as well… would this be considered a learning/basic letterpress? It would be awesome to learn how to print/create your own invitations!

As you can see…im totally lost and dont even know where to start asking the questions! Can someone help?? I would REALLY appreciate this!

I’m also new and can say that there are tons of great website online that will begin to answer some of your questions, including this one. Just google some of these concerns and search the archives of discussion here. For a great resource for starters that will also point you to even more information, visit:
