Type ID Help - Again

Keep finding type that I can’t locate in the specimen books. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The first three are capitals only.

The first one is Freehand, and it does have a lower case.
There is an 8 pt. font of this on eBay.
Search eBay, “Letterpress Type Freehand”. It was designed in 1917 by Morris Benton and cast by ATF.

The second one is “Shadow” designed by Morris Benton in 1934, and released by ATF the next year.

The third one looks like Bodoni Bold Shaded…Benton again for ATF, 1912… it also made it over into Monotype (#194). This also has a lower case.

Fourth one is “Plate Text” released in 1902, BB&S.

These were all found in “American Metal Typefaces of the Twentieth Century” by Mac McGrew.

Thanks! I’m going to have to pick up a copy of that book.

I should have said that there were only capitals in the cases I have.

You’re Welcome!
Yes, it is the indispensable tome for American 20th century typeface ID, and highly recommended.
You should be able to find one on Amazon.com.
