odorless mineral spirits or california wash?

I have always used california wash to clean my rollers and press- however I find odorless mineral spirits preferable because of the no odor. Is it acceptable to use to clean my rollers- I do not want to do damage to my precious rollers! But Cal wash is hard to get and I have to travel out of town to get it.

Mineral spirits should be perfectly suitable.

Brad.

When you need a stronger solvent use Naptha from the hardware store, it’s mostly what California Wash is without the cancer-causing chemicals that keep it from evaporating on a high-speed press. Mineral spirits will eventually make your rollers glossy, so it’s a good idea to occasionally do a final wash-up with Naptha (also sold as Coleman stove fuel).

Good to know- I have noticed a bit of gloss so i will finish with the naptha
