Is it possible to weld (or?) a new cast iron gear tooth on this Poco press? Several missing but still possible to complete run with existing teeth. Curious how someone managed to shear them off. Probably ardent school kids.

Some people have succeeded in repairing such broken teeth by drilling and tapping a hole centered on the missing tooth for a machine bolt that is then fixed in the hole with ThreadLoc or epoxy and then ground or filed to the shape of the other teeth.
