Large antique cast iron nipping press + custom-made stand

Large antique cast iron nipping/copying press made by S. Mordan & Co. of London. This press is in excellent working condition. The screw mechanism is smooth, the threads are clean, and it delivers tremendous, even pressure. The paint is clean, no rust, and has solid brass handle weights, and the original brass Mordan maker’s badge. It includes a set of wooden backing/pressing boards.

The press comes paired with a custom-made, industrial-strength wooden storage cabinet on locking rolling castors that serves as its dedicated stand. It features 10 built-in vertical storage cubbies/slots for organizing pressing boards, large paper stock, or book signatures.

Also included are 5 pairs of brass-edged press boards (10 boards total).
