Chandler & Price 8×12 Letterpress – Restored & Ready to Print
For sale is a Chandler & Price 8×12 platen letterpress in excellent working condition. This press was restored approximately 15 years ago.
The original drive system has been upgraded with a variable-speed electric motor controlled by a VFD (Variable Frequency Drive), allowing you to easily adjust the press speed for safe setup, learning, and production printing.
The press is fully functional and is currently configured to print with polymer plates. The rollers were purchased new during the restoration and have seen very little use, remaining in excellent condition.
The press has been stored in my garage and has not been used for the past 10 years. As a result, it could use a general cleaning and freshening up before being put back into regular service, but it remains complete and was fully functional when last used.
I’m only selling because it no longer gets used and I’d rather see it go to someone who will put it back into service.
