Foil stamping on a C&P new style

Can somebody please explain to me how I can set up my press, if possible, to do foil stamping. I tried searching but I couldn’t really find anything that pertained to my particular question.

You need a heater that the die can be mounted on-a way to hold the roll of foil usually low between platen and bed-a pulling system mechanical or electronic. I have built foil systems for a number of presses for use in my shop.It doesn’t hurt to look at a table top foil stamper to get a good idea of the process.I almost spent $10k US but built my own 1st unit for less than $3k and a full week of work. A lot depends on what tools are available to you and how much time you have.Send an E-mail with specific questions and I’ll try to answer them.

hmm, $3k is a little bit more than I am looking to spend at the moment, but thanks for the info.

anybody else?

you can go with a mechanical drive but….. in this day ,,,, try to find a realy hot chick that knows about stepper drive systems. people who know about conveyor systems can help… it is the same technology….you need to end up with a roller drive mechanism with a pinch (nip) roller.. also a heating unit to back the die up… 3k to start from scratch is prob perty cheap. it will however, if you do it right, serve you well and pay off…foil is cool. and hot embossing looks great..i can send you pics of how the kluge looks. good luck … Eric

I saw this on craigslist Denver might do some good to look into. it’s under printing press
