Hello!
I justa bought a c&p pilot that I believe is from the 30’s or 40’s
it has some rust but works well. the rollers are shot but found a local source for that. what else do I need to do to get this press in good working order?
Possibly as little as well placed oil might have you printing. It likely needs to have the platen adjusted, but I would try the press out first to find out.
how do I know if the platten is out and how do I adjust it?
The first thing to do is to ink it up and give it a test by printing something. It may not be an issue at all.
