Removing trucks from roller cores

I’d like to send my roller cores off to be covered. My understanding is that I need to remove the trucks from the cores before I send them.

It appears to me that the trucks are press-fit onto the core. I soaked them in a penetrating lubricant for a couple hours but didn’t make any progress with trying to knock them loose.

Google turned up empty - What has worked for you? Maybe a gear puller? Heat?

A little “gentle persuasion” is all that’s needed.
You should be able to send them as is to your roller company.
We receive cores with trucks all the time and do not charge any more for removal.

A small gear puller would do the trick.
