ink reducer question
I need some help; my new bottle of Spinks Tack Reducer says to mix 1/5th of an ounce per pound of ink. How do you measure 1/5th of an ounce? I’m assuming they mean liquid ounce.

If you want to think of it slightly differently, that is the same as 1 part to 80. (5 x 16=80). You could most likely use weight measures if you have a good scale.
Saying that, I generally just mix in a drop at s time until the ink is the proper viscosity for what I need. I keep the reducer in a small dropper bottle for this purpose.

Thanks John, I’ve been doing it a similar way for the last 35 years with good results-I thought this time I’d try to actually follow the directions!
