Created a username; did not receive a password

After you create a new user name, a temporary password is sent to your email address from the briarpress.org address auto.responder. If you don’t receive the password within a few minutes, the email message may have been blocked by spam filtering software, or you may have mistyped your email address when you created your username.

Solutions

You can generate a new password using an automated method.

Or, you can or send us your user name and email address and we will send you a password that you can use to log in. Be sure to provide us with the email address you originally submitted when you created your user name, otherwise we won’t be able to help. Send a password request.

You can also create a brand new username.

Note that some of these links will not work if you are already logged in.

A lot of people’s mail servers will mark mail from briarpress.org as spam because you’re not giving a fully qualified domain name in the helo part of the SMTP transaction.

ie, it’s doing a ‘helo oneart’, rather than a ‘helo briarpress.org’.

This should be easy to fix in your mail server’s config.
