C&P with Kluge feeder

Hello,

My shop is about to acquire a C&P with a Kluge feeder, which I’m unfamiliar with running. Does anyone have any information on where I could go to learn to run it? Or have any advise? I looked everywhere online, but I’m not having much luck. Any info is very much appreciated!

Thank you, Scott!

Hi,, where are you located? I ran a 10x15 C&P with a Kluge feeder in my youth. Great press, not to hard to learn. I’m in Los Angeles area.

Hi Dick,

Unfortunately, I’m in Nebraska so it’s a tad far for me to stop by. But thank you so much for the offer! Any information you have on it is welcome!

This may sound like a ridiculous question, but can a Kluge feeder do foil? I know the Kluge and Heidelberg does, but I was curious if part of one would as well?

the feeder simply feeds paper. the press, hot plate and foil drive take care of foil application.

Thank you, Erick.

How’s it going with your C&P Kluge? I ran a 12 x 18 for years. Great press, but I eventually got most of our production switched to windmills; the windmills were easier setup and faster. But, that being said, I learned a lot about letterpress on that old C&P built in 1917! It was a very reliable printer. We eventually took the feeder off and ran it as a handfed. I sold it to fruit processing company in the Calif central valley to print their box labels.
